Purpose and contribution to the company strategy
The Digital Team at Top Employers Institute is responsible for the development and support of the digital platforms which includes Salesforce Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud (Portal), Pardot and CRM Analytics. These digital platforms support the core business processes for Marketing, Sales, Operations (Certifications) and Finance, and provide our clients with access to the survey, analytical insights and best practices.
The Analytics team, as part of the broader Digital team, drives insights across multiple domains to enable data-informed decision-making. For our customers, the team develops dashboards that deliver deep insights into HR performance, leveraging survey data to help improve HR practices. Internally, the team creates dashboards for the product team, utilizing Google Analytics data to provide actionable insights on portal usage, supporting decisions to optimize user experiences. The team also supports the Client Success teams by providing insights into client health, enabling improved retention strategies. For Marketing and Sales, the team crafts dashboards that analyze lead-to-cash performance, enabling better identification of prospects and actions to generate more revenue effectively.
The team is growing, and we are looking for a ‘Data Scientist’ who goes beyond basic reporting or descriptive statistics by employing sophisticated tools, statistical models, and machine learning algorithms to uncover patterns, trends, and relationships that might not be immediately apparent (proficient in ‘Deep Analytics’). The Data Scientist will own the outcome of their analyses, presenting findings to stakeholders and influencing key decisions through clear and actionable insights.
Key responsibilities
Analytical Design and Execution:
- Perform analyses to identify HR and organizational priorities, including rank-based prioritization methods and year-on-year changes in adoption rates.
- Develop methodologies for segmentation and comparisons, such as adoption rate analyses between high- and low-performing groups.
- Insights Ownership and Reporting:
- Lead the design, implementation, and interpretation of advanced statistical models and algorithms to generate actionable insights.
- Own the outcomes of analyses, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of findings.
Stakeholder Engagement and Influence:
- Present complex findings in a clear, concise manner to diverse stakeholders, translating technical results into strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate with business leaders to incorporate insights into decision-making processes and drive meaningful impact.
- Collaboration with Data Teams:
- Participates in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of the agile team.
- Partner with data engineers to ensure clean, consistent, and well-structured datasets.

Qualification criteria
1. Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of statistical modeling techniques (e.g., Linear/Logistic Regression, Time-Series Models, Clustering).
- Proficiency in Python or R, with expertise in libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, and statsmodels.
- Advanced SQL skills for querying large datasets and familiarity with big data tools like Spark or Hadoop.
- Expertise in visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and reporting automation using ETL/ELT.
2. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Proven ability to design and execute analyses that identify insights from business and employee datasets.
- Strong foundation in hypothesis testing, correlation analysis, and trend modeling.
3. Communication and Influence:
- Ability to translate complex statistical findings into actionable business insights.
- Excellent presentation skills with experience influencing key stakeholders.
4. Collaboration:
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering high-quality outcomes.
5. Preferred:
- Experience working with Survey, Sales & Marketing, Finance and CRM Data analysis
- Working knowledge of Salesforce AI Stack
- Familiarity with DevOps and Cloud
- Familiarity with LLMs and Generative AI
